This page provides information on how to move XPSWMM or XPSTORM to a new computer.

### Standalone Licenses

Follow the [Standalone Installation](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/xps/pages/19662657) instructions to install a new copy on the new computer. No need to deactive the license on the old computer, either computer can run XPSWMM/XPStorm with the dongle plugged.

### Network Licenses

If you need to install XPSWMM on a new client computer, follow the [Network Installation](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/xps/pages/19662662) instructions of installing a new copy. Depending of the number of seat available, as long as there is a seat available, any client computer can use it.

For network license, if you need to move the server, please follow the following steps:

1. Install the network server following the [Network Installation](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/xps/pages/19662662) instructions as installing a new copy. No need to do anything on the old server.
2. On the client computers, if you also need to upgrade the software, then follow the [Standalone Installation](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/xps/pages/19662657) instruction.
3. If you need to use the existing installed copy, there is no need to re-install the software. Go to the installation folder and update the server address in the *.ini file.> Macro (inline-media-image)
