The main focus of the 6.3 release was on speed and performance. You will likely notice a significant improvement in loading times of Workspaces and retrieving data.

As always, we also included several new features outlined below to improve the SCADAWatch experience as well.

## Performance Enhancements

- Dashlet data is now stored in the browser cache rather than extracting the data each time from the database.
- Queries and database storage of timeseries data has been optimized to improve performance of data retrieval.
- Web page data was consolidated where possible to lighten the web server load while loading pages.

## Data Management:

### Scheduled Data Cleanup Options

The database can be configured so that old data will be removed after a certain age.

This setting can be defined for each sample interval. For example, perhaps you want to keep all hourly data going back several years for all sensors, however you don't need the full 5 minute resolution past the previous month. Scaling these options allows you to keep what you need, while minimizing storage.

### Removed the requirement that sensors must be geolocated

<details>
<summary>More information about this feature</summary>

Previously, before you could upload a new sensor, it must first be defined on the web map.

Now when adding a new sensor from the [Sensor Data](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/info360/pages/15008173/Server+Configuration#ServerConfiguration-SensorData) page, the Sensor ID field still provides a dropdown of available geolocated sensors, but you can directly type in any new sensor ID manually. The dropdown will then indicate that your sensor ID has no map reference as shown in the image below.

These sensors can still be queried from the Data Source tab on the [Command Center](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/info360/pages/15008149) or any other interface other than the map.

## Analysis Tools

### Enhancements to BizBlock

<details>
<summary>More information about this feature</summary>

As expected, we've seen users apply BizBlock to new calculations and procedures that raised expectations and the required capabilities of the tool.

One important new feature is that BizBlocks can be assigned to base their calculations on a specified time interval (e.g. hourly). This means you can define your expressions with an expected time interval, and let other larger intervals aggregate based on those calculations rather than calculate with larger intervals.

This feature is accessed in design mode when you create a new calculation block. The Add Block window will give the option to Calculate higher interval results based on selected result.

This is necessary in calculations like Minimum Nightly Flow where daily values are based on calculations from a few hours of the day.

Another nice feature is the added button to run the calculation directly from the BizBlock in the Workspace, rather than needing to scroll up to the Command Center. Mass Balance received this new feature as well.

### Notification Module

<details>
<summary>More information about this feature</summary>

A new notification module has been implemented which allows users to control which notifications will be generated and review a list of current notifications.

Notifications can be turned on/off based on Type from the [Workspace Overview](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/info360/pages/15008154/Workspace+Overview#WorkspaceOverview-TopofWindow).

Rather than Lines, Bars, and Area, you can now chose Spline and other new chart styles for visualization. You can access these options from the [Reference Chart Style](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/info360/pages/15007804) <u>Reference Chart Style</u> window.
