Scheduler will determine a single combination of control rules (start and stop times) for all Pumps, Valves, and Pipes within any particular group. If distinct control rules are desired for specific Pumps, Valves, and zpipes, then these components must be placed in separate groups.

Pump

Use this tab to separate your pumps into groups. Pumps in the same group will receive the same schedule.

Pump Group Database Field - Select a Pump Group Field from the drop-down list. The pump group database field contains the group ID associated the pump. The drop-down list will display all user-defined data columns in the Pump Information database table. The pump group field must be numeric and contain a value that represents a pump group classification.

New - The New button creates a new data field column in the Pump Information database table containing the group ID for every pump in the network for which the status is to be optimized. When this button is selected you are prompted to enter the field title for this new database column.

DB Edit - The DB Edit button opens the Pump Information database table from the DB Editor. The Pump Group information can be viewed and edited in the DB Editor.

Active Group

The Active Group dialog box contains the following data columns:

Clear IDs - Delete all elements in the Active Group. To delete more than one group, highlight the desired group numbers, and then click Clear IDs.

Refresh IDs - Display the Element IDs in each of the groups to reflect any changes made using the Insert Element or Remove Element button.

Color Map - Color-code all elements in the Active Group with the Active Group associated color. To color code more than one group, highlight the desired group numbers and then press the Color Map button. Click on the Color box to change the color of the elements in the Active Group.

Reset Map - Reset the color of all pumps to their default color.

Insert (+) Pumps - Add elements to the Active Group based on the method chosen in the drop-down box to the right of this button.

Remove (-) Pumps - Remove elements from the Active Group based on the choice selected from the corresponding drop-down list.

Selection Method -

Group Color - Displays the color associated with the currently selected group. Click on this area to change the color associated with this group.

Message Board - This section of the Scheduler dialog box will display a message upon successful completion of the commands that have been activated or pertinent error messages to the simulation.

Valve Control Group

Use this section to separate the valves into groups. Valves in the same group will receive the same schedule.

Valve Group Database Field - Select a Valve Group Field from the drop-down list. The valve group database field contains the group ID associated the valve. The drop-down list will display all user-defined data columns in the Valve Information database table. The valve group field must be numeric and contain a value that represents a valve group classification.
