The Historical Chart tab of the Command Center offers several configuration tools while opening a chart.
Drop-down menu to select the sensor to be the primary data source for the chart.
Note: By default, Info360 shows the first 1000 sensor listing. To show search results beyond the first 1000, enter a keyword and then click the search icon (indicated by the red search icon ).
Drop-down menu to either leave blank or select a pre-saved layout. If a Layout is selected:
A new Layout is created by saving an existing Chart configuration from the Charts.
Drop-down menu to select the sampling process for the data series.
See the Data Sampling page for more information on these series types and their usage.
Drop-down menu to plot the sensor data as one of the following types:
Displays each data point as a dot with straight lines connecting each point.
Displays the data series as vertical bars.
Displays a vertical line for each time interval extending from the Low to the High with thicker bar ranging from the Open and Close values for that time interval. When the Open is greater than the Close (e.g. a tank is filling), the line is colored blue; otherwise it is orange for the alternate case (e.g. the tank is draining).
Displays a vertical line for each time interval extending from the Low to the High with a notch on the left and right side at the Open and Close values respectively for that time interval. When the Open is greater than the Close (e.g. a tank is filling), the line is colored blue; otherwise it is orange for the alternate case (e.g. the tank is draining).
Displays shaded area below the linear interpolated timeseries.
Displays each data point as a dot with smooth curves connecting each point.
Spline Area Chart
Displays a shaded area below the interpolated timeseries.
Displays a scatter plot of the data series.
|Point Symbol||Drop-down menu to select the point symbol for the data series. Available options are Circle, Square, Diamond, and Cross.|
|Point Size||Drop-down menu to select the size of the point symbol for the data series. You can select from one through 16.|
Clicking within the box will open the Color Selection Tool to choose the color of the chart timeseries.
Controls visibility and thickness of the bottom x-axis of the chart.
Controls visibility and thickness of the y-axis of the chart.
Allows vertical and horizontal grid lines to be separately toggled on or off.
Enables crosshairs to show on the chart that follow the cursor.
Controls whether Legend entries are listed in a horizontal row or vertical column, and whether the Legend is positioned inside or outside of the plot area. (Note: the Legend will appear whenever more than one data series is being plotted)
Controls the Title text and its position on the chart window.
Historical Chart Example
The following historical chart shows raw pressure sensor data (Well 05 Station) overlaid with a moving average (MA) of the last 5 values to show the trend.
The pressure plot was also overlaid with reference pressure thresholds (35 and 85) to see how often they are exceeded.
Finally, an additional y-axis was appended below with the rate of change of pressure (ROC) over the past 3 intervals. The ROC offers an additional type of indicator if something goes wrong.
