When a large network is displayed on the screen it can appear extremely cluttered. Objects such as Nodes, Links, and Text can be modified to improve readability of the entire network.

To modify the attributes of a single network object:

  1. Select the Pointer Tool in the  tool strip.
  2. Click the object to be modified.
  3. Click Edit on the main menu.
  4. Select Attributes.
  5. In the dialog box that opens, enter the desired attributes for the object being manipulated.
  6. Click OK to save the changes, or Cancel to close the window.

To modify multiple network objects:

  1. Select the Pointer Tool in the tool strip.
  2. While holding down the <Ctrl> key, left-click the objects to be modified. Alternatively, holding down left mouse button while dragging the Pointer tool across multiple objects will cause them to be selected.
  3. Click Edit on the main menu.
  4. Select Attributes.
  5. In the dialog box that opens, enter the desired attributes for the objects being manipulated.
  6. Click OK to save the changes, or Cancel to close the window.

Notes:

  • If Real World Size is selected, the text and object sizes will be displayed in real world units. When a scale too small to display is selected, the text will be drawn as a box and will only appear after zooming in. If display size is selected, text and object sizes are set in decimal inches or millimetres independent of the scale selected.
  • The display font may be modified by selecting the corresponding font from a list. A preview of the font is displayed in the Select a Font dialog (only applies for Text Attributes  window).
