1. Select the Import InfoAsset Manager Project option located in the main InfoAsset Planner toolbar drop-down menu as shown below.
  2. The following pop-up window will appear:

    3. With your Import InfoAsset Manager Project dialog box open, complete the following steps to import your InfoAsset Manager data into InfoAsset Planner:
    1. Specify a system database if this is your first time using InfoAsset Planner. Click on the Browse button to select a system database path. You can find more information on how to set up a system database here: Create New Database.
    2. Specify your category. Choose Sewer or Water. 
    3. Specify a project database location. Choose one of the following options: Personal Geodatabase, File Geodatabase, or Enterprise Geodatabase.
    4. Specify the workgroup version of the InfoAsset Planner software product.
    5. Select Standalone or Workgroup. If you selected Workgroup, then enter the Server Name, Server Port (the server port is defaulted to 40,000 in most InfoAsset databases), and Master Database in the specified fields. Click on the Query Database button to query the InfoAsset Manager networks.
    6. Choose a network from the drop-down menu.
    7. Choose a Default Pipe Survey Standard from the drop-down menu. Choose from one of the following options: NASSCO's PACP, WSA05, MSCC, EN 13508-2, New Zealand Pipe Inspection, Los Angeles Pipe Inspection, Electro Scan, DIN EN 13508-2, or Linear Reference System (see below).
    8. Click Import. Note: Be sure that the network is not open in InfoAsset Manager when you import.

  • Your asset information gets imported as InfoAsset Planner feature classes.
  • Work management information such as pipe repairs, pipe cleans, etc. will be imported to the work manager tables: workorders, service requests, and inspections.
