InfoAsset Planner's Data Miner is a very flexible tool with many different applications.  To give you an idea on how to use this tool, a number of Data Miner examples are shown below along with a description of their purpose.


Example #1 - Custom Report

This first example generates a custom report showing risk and CCTV scores, defect and service request counts, and suggested rehab actions.  Most of the information included in the Custom_Report export actually is included in the parameters of the ssGravityMain building block.  Many tables/fields can be joined in these initial source data building blocks.


Example #2 - Defect Code Search

This example creates an ArcMap selection based on pipes that contain a specific defect code(s).  This Data Miner is very easy to create since it includes the 'Contain Defect Code' System Assembly.  The facility type, survey import, and defect codes(s) are all specified within the System Assembly.


Example #3 - Manholes Connected to Pipes which may be Replaced

Many you want to incorporate spatial analysis into their rehabilitation decision trees, and with the Data Miner this is easily possible.  The Data Miner below is a great example.  You may want to locate manholes connected to pipes which have been suggested to be "Replaced" after running through a Gravity Main Rehab Decision Tree analysis.  This Data Miner can locate these manholes; allowing you to use this data in their Manhole Rehab Decision Tree analysis as a potential variable.

Notice that the query for Gravity Mains suggested to be replaced occurs within the ssGravityMain Source Data building block.  Also two Output building blocks are placed at the end to allow for both a tabular view and a Facility Selection view of the resulting data.
