Outputs a binary (1 or 0) signal indicating when the input data is greater than a specified cutoff threshold.
Defines the time series data fed into the function. This can be a sensor ID or another function.
Data point designated as the limit
*Input data is optional in most cases. If Info360 detects that the first input is time series data, it will be applied to the function. Otherwise, the current active sensor's data will be used, which is often the case in Reference Charts.
Example Usage as an Expression:
Step(ROC(6),0.1) - Outputs a value of 1 anytime the rate of change (over the past 6 intervals) is greater than 0.1. Otherwise the output is 0.
Example Reference Chart:
Chart displays data for Sensor T5000.Tank Level. The reference charts are ROC(6) and Step(ROC(6),0.1).
As shown this step function "switches on" (=1) whenever the rate of change is greater than 0.1.
