Outputs data from a specified number of periods into the past. This is commonly used to compare the current values with data from a similar time in the past, such as the values from last week.
Defines the time series data fed into the function. This can be a sensor ID or another function.
Number of data intervals considered in the function
*Input data is optional in most cases. If Info360 detects that the first input is time series data, it will be applied to the function. Otherwise, the current active sensor's data will be used, which is often the case in Reference Charts.
Example Usage as an Expression:
Previous(24*7): For an hourly time step, this will retrieve data from the current sensor at the same time last week.
Examples Reference Chart:
The following example displays the calculated water usage for a city compared against the same calculations one week ago (7 days * 24 hours = 168 periods). In this case we found that the weekly pattern of water usage correlated remarkably well.
